Chulas Fronteras

My musical tastes have leaned towards music that has absorbed two or more traditions to create something distinct. Here is the 13th print in a series I am producing to illustrate new music by a Colombian singer/songwriter who has travelled extensively through the Americas gathering material for original compositions. His own travels have been the springboard for me to dive into new graphic territory. In this case I have illustrated a song based on  carrilera music from Medellin with the influence of the Mexican corrido and ranchera. At the same time I pay tribute to Eva Ybarra, the influential accordionist from San Antonio, Texas.
